Hi, I’m Chelsea! (she/her). I am a Marriage and Family Therapist in Echo Park, focusing on sexual wellness, pleasure, and LGBTQIA+ affirming psychotherapy. I am committed to liberation and justice and I am passionate about alleviating the impacts of systemic and internalized racism, sexism, transphobia, and homophobia. My goal is to support you in imagining new possibilities for your life, deepening your relationships, and addressing both your individual experience and the society and culture in which you live.

My approach to therapy is relational, experiential, and pleasure-centered. I am here to support you, stand beside you, and help you uncover and remember all the parts of you that may have been quieted. The parts of you that feel lost and the parts that are trying to protect you. Every part of you has a seat at the table. My aim is to meet you where you are right now and support you in moving towards a more intimate relationship with each part of yourself, connecting you to your inner wisdom, and bringing you back to your body.

There are so many forces out there working hard to disconnect us from each other, from our bodies, from being our whole selves. We need respite. We need to feel well-resourced and well-loved in order to thrive. I understand how hard it is to do life alone. I know what it’s like to feel disconnected, to not be able to rely on your family of origin, to lose relationships and community, to grieve and mourn. We are not meant to do any of this alone or with ChatGPT. We are wired for real, human connection.

I particularly enjoy working with intimate relationships (friends, lovers, nesting partners, etc.), bisexual & pansexual folks, and those seeking more pleasure and joy in their every day.

I am currently available to see individuals, couples, throuples, quads, and friends. I work on Zoom and in Elysian Park. Sometimes my dog Scoop joins me for sessions (if you’re a dog lover).

Relationship Therapy

I’m a relationship nerd. I became a therapist because love and relationships matter more to me than anything else. I love supporting all configurations of partnerships in uncovering what the relationship needs, balancing interdependence with autonomy, resolving desire discrepancies, and helping you engage in conflict with more love, more embodiment, and less urgency. My role in relationship work is to provide a space to be bravely authentic with one another, lead with love, and bring more light to the dynamics that work and those that don’t. I want to support you in making decisions about how you want to proceed, how to get your needs met, and how to ask for what you really desire. Most of all, I want to help you articulate the kind of relationship you actually want to be in together, free from tired old scripts.
